Amid the natural friction of a recent separation, what we needed most was exactly what seemed hardest: giving a small child stability and predictability, while fitting everything around his mother's demanding work schedule.
We both needed to know clearly whose day each day was. I tried a spreadsheet — it helped at first, but it soon got complicated and was never at hand when it mattered. I tried an ordinary calendar — too much work to keep up. So I built something of my own, something simple, and it grew until it became a true partner in the time I share with my son.
Talking with other mothers and fathers who had been through a separation, I found the same gap. That's why I decided to open the tool to other families — to take that friction out of the way at such a delicate moment, one you get through with care, love and, above all, respect between everyone involved.
