Nothing forces a family to have "a father and a mother": two people can have the same role. And if none of the 21 describes someone, the family creates its own role, with any name it likes — a Premium feature.

Whoever cares for the child is on the calendar

Every caregiver has their own account and their own colour on the calendar, and follows the same rules as everyone else: they propose day swaps, answer the ones that come to them and appear in the history with what they did, with date and time. The free plan includes up to 2 caregivers; more people caring for the child — grandparents who have them during the week, a stepfather, a stepmother — are part of Premium, one subscription per family.

Whoever only follows along: the viewer

Not everyone needs to decide about the days. A grandmother who wants to know when she has her grandchild, the nanny, an uncle: as a viewer, they see the calendar, the child's agenda and the reports, and get the informative notifications. They change nothing, take no part in swaps and see neither the swap negotiation nor the family's expenses. The free plan already includes a viewer; more viewers are part of Premium.

The same rules, whoever you are

Each family sees only its own data, and that separation is enforced in the database, not just on screen. A day swap becomes a request the other side approves or declines, and everything stays in the history — what was asked, by whom and when.
